How to Use?

Precautions:
Before usingthis medicine tell to doctor or pharmacist about medical history especiallyabout liver disease, thyroid, kidney, certain hormonal conditions andelectrolyte imbalance. Before taking Glimepiride share to doctor or pharmacistif you are allergic to it or if you have any other allergies. Limit alcoholwhile taking this medicine because it can increase your risk of developing lowblood sugar. You may experience dizziness, blurred vision, or drowsiness due toextremely low or high blood sugar. Do not drive, use machinery or do anyactivity that requires alertness or clear vision until you are sure you canperform such activities safely. It may be harder to control blood sugar whenbody is stressed. Consult doctor because this may requires a change in yourtreatment plan, medicines or blood sugar testing. This medicine may make moresensitive to the sun. Limit your time in the sun. Before having surgery shareto doctor or dentist all about medical history. During pregnancy this medicineshould be used only when clearly needed. Pregnancy may cause or worsendiabetes. Consult doctor before breast feeding. Discuss the risks and benefitswith doctor.
Adverse Effects may occur:
Share to doctorimmediately if you have any serious side effects like yellowing eyes or skin,dark urine, tiredness or weakness, easy bleeding/bruising, stomach pain,seizures or mental or mood changes. Nausea and stomach upset may occur ifeither of these effects persists or worsen, share to doctor urgently. Rememberthat doctor has prescribed this medicine because he or she has judged that thebenefit to you is greater than the risk of adverse effects.
Glimepiride cancause low blood sugar. It is a good habit to carry glucose tablets or gel totreat low blood sugar. This may occur if you do not consume enough caloriesfrom food or if you do unusually heavy exercise. Symptoms of low blood sugarinclude sudden hunger, heart breathing, and shaking, sweating and blurredvision. To help prevent blood sugar eat meals on a regular schedule, and do notskip meals. Check with doctor or pharmacist find out what you should do if youmiss a meal.
Overdose:
If you missed adose take it as soon as possible remember. If it is near next dose skip missedone. Do not take double dose to cover up. Take the doses daily same time toremember.
If someone hasoverdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing,Contact doctor immediately.
Storage:
Keep at roomtemperature, away from lights, moisture, children and pets. Do not store atbathroom. Do not flush down the toilet or pour them into a drain unlessinstructed to do so. Properly discard this medicine when it is expired and nolonger needed.
