Usage of Fexofenadine:

Always follow directions on the medicine label about giving cough or cold medicine to a child.
The melting tablets are not use in a child younger than 6 years old.
Before giving fexofenadine liquid to a child younger than 2 years old ask doctor.
The 12 hours and 24 hours forms of fexofenadine are not for use in a child younger than 12 years old.
Take this medicine only with water.
Shake the oral suspension before you measure to use. Use the dosing cup provided or use a medicine dose measuring device not a kitchen spoon.
Take the disintegrating tablet on an empty stomach.
Remove an orally disintegrating tablet from the package only when you are ready to take the medicine. Place the tablet on tongue and allow it to dissolve without chewing. Swallow several times as the tablet dissolves.   
Use exactly as directed on the label or as prescribed by doctor. Call doctor if symptoms do not improve or get worse.

Before use Fexofenadine:

If you are allergic you should not use Fexofenadine. Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this medicine is safe to use if you have kidney disease. Ask doctor before using fexofenadine if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Older adults may be more sensitive to the effects of this medicine. If age of 65 or older ask doctor before use this medicine.
Precaution should to take while using Fexofenadine:
Avoid taking an antacid within 2 hours before or after you take fexofenadine. Certain antacids can make it harder for body to absorb Fexofenadine. Do not take this medicine with fruit juice. The juices are apple, orange or grapefruit can make it harder for body to absorb this medicine.

Side Effects May Occur:
Stop using fexofenadine and call your doctor at once if you have: fever, chills, tiredness, new or worsening cough, pain, ear infection, ear pain, trouble hearing and fussiness in a child.
Common side effects may like headache, back pain or cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sinus pain or sore throat. This is a not complete list of side effects and others may occur. Get emergency medical help if you sign of an allergic reactions hives, difficult breathing and swelling of face/lips/tongue or throat.

Overdose:
You may not be on a dosing schedule, since allergy medicine is used when needed. If you missed dose take it as soon as remember, if it is near the next dose skip missed one do not double dose to cover up. Overdose symptoms are dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.

Storage:
Store at room temperature. Keep away from light and moisture. Do not store at bathroom. Different brands of this medication may have different storage needs. Keep all medicines away from children and pets. Check the product package for instructions on how to store or ask pharmacist. Do not flush medicines down the toilet.
