Febuxostat sold under the brand name Uloricand Adenuric, is a medicine used long term to treat gout due to high uric acidlevels. When initially started medications such as NSAIDs are often recommendedto prevent gout flares. This medicine is generally suggested only for peoplewho cannot take allopurinol. It is taken by mouth. 

Side Effects:

Generally nausea may occur. It may rarely causeserious liver problem, increase in liver enzymes. Your doctor will order bloodtests to measure these enzymes. Keep lab or medical appointment. Share todoctor urgently if develop symptoms of liver disease also nausea that doesn’tstop stomach or abdominal pain, dark urine yellowing eyes and skin. Remember thatdoctor has prescribed this medication because they judged that thebenefit to you is greater than the side effects risks. Many people using thismedication do not have serious side effects. Also read warning sections. A veryserious allergic reactions to this drug is rare. Overdose:

Ifsomeone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or troublebreathing, Contact doctor immediately. If you missed a dose take it as soon aspossible remember. If it is near next dose skip missed one. Do not take doubledose to cover up. Take the doses daily same time to remember.
