Donepezil Isused to help improve mental function in Alzheimer’s disease patients. Thismedicine not a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Even people who take donepezilthis condition will progress over time. Donepezil does not work same in allpeople. Many people taking this medicine for improved mental functions whileother people for unchanged or even increase mental function. Donepezil may alsouse for many other purposes.

Medical Uses:

Food and Drug administration approved Donepezil fortreatment of light, average and serious dementia in Alzheimer’s diseases. Theperson who taking medicine and reviewed frequently and there is no benefitproperly it should be stopped. There is no evidence that donepezil or othersimilar agents improves the course or advance of Alzheimer’s disease.

Donepezil may improve awareness in patients withvascular dementia but not universal global functioning shown in studies.

Precautions:

Slow heart beat and fainting in people withheart problems were also seen. When initiating treatment or increasing thedonepezil dose, these symptoms may look more frequent. Patients with pepticulcer disease or taking NSAIDS should use with caution because increased riskof gastrointestinal bleeding was noted. Donepezil should beused with caution in people with heart problems, chronic obstructive pulmonarydisease, cardiac disturbance, asthma, severe cardiac arrhythmia and sick sinussyndrome. Restarting at the same dose is recommended, If daily donepezil hadhang for 7 days or less or reiterate from 5 mg daily is suggested while if thesuspension lasts longer than 7 days.

Every people should to know that not to use donepezilif you are allergic to donepezil or certain other medicines. Share to doctor ifyou are allergic to any medicines. If you have ever had heart rhythm disorder,stomach problem, urination problems, asthma or other breathing disorders, aseizer, trouble swallowing tablets, liver or kidney problem also share todoctor if you are pregnant or breast feeding. 

Interactions:

Since many medications contain pain relievers/feverreducers like aspirin, ibuprofen or naproxen that if taken together withdonepezil may increase risk for intestinal bleeding and stomach bleeding. Storage:

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.Keep away from children and pets.

Overdose:

Overdose symptoms like vomiting, nausea, drooling,blurred vision, head pain, sweating, heartbeat slow, shallow breathing, muscleweakness, fainting or attack.

If overdose, seek emergency medical attention. Contactto doctor immediately.

Side Effects:

If you feel any signs of an allergic reactions likeslow heartbeats, swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat, a seizer,nausea or vomiting, pain or difficult urination, stomach bleeding coughing upblood consult doctor urgently take cure against it.
