Drug Interactions:

Someantimalarial drugs should not be used within one month of treatment withArtemether and lumefantrine. In some cases a serious drug interaction mayoccur. Be sure to share your doctor about all medicines you are taking formalaria within 4 weeks before or during and after treatment withArtemether/lumefantrine. Many drugs besides these drugs may affect the heartrhythm including other antimalarial drugs like quinine and quinidine,antiarrhythmic drugs like sotalol, disopyramide etc., antipsychotics likepimozide, Ziprasidone, macrolide antibiotics like erythromycin, quinine likeciprofloxacin and moxifloxacin among others. 

Artemether maydecrease the effectiveness of hormonal birth control like patch, pills or ring.Share to doctor if you have any new spotting or breakthrough bleeding. Becausethis sign of birth control is not working well. This could cause pregnancy.

Side Effects May Occur:

Possible side effects are headache, dizziness, fever, chill, joint and muscle pain,tiredness, vomiting, nausea, cough and trouble sleeping. What Precaution should to take?

If you are allergic to Artemether or lumefantrine or if you have any other allergic share to doctor or pharmacist before taking Artemether-lumefantrine. Also share to doctor medical history especially of recent use, any medicine to prevent ortreat malaria, kidney disease and liver disease. QT prolongation (heart rhythm)can rarely cause serious fast/ irregular heartbeat and other symptoms that need medical attention right away.

Share doctor ordentist about all product you are using before having surgery. During pregnancythis medication should be used only when needed. Discuss the risk and benefitswith doctor. It is unknown that if this medicine passes into breast milk.Consult doctor or pharmacist before breast feeding.

Over Dose:

If overdosed andhas serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing. Do not takedouble dose at a time. If missed dose take as soon as possible.
